Octomotol
Water retention, that may arise occasionally, can be removed by reducing the dose or discontinuing the treatment and by administration of saluretics in order to stimulate diuresis. Administration and dosage The medication must be supervised by the physician, the coated tablets should always be taken during or after meals. Adults initial dose : 2 coated tablets 2-3 times a day . In particularly severe cases, the dose may be increased for a short period of time to 2 coated tablets 4 times a day
Maintenance dose : 1 coated tablet 2-3 times a day 
Children older than 6 years Initial dose : 10mg/kg body weight daily
Maintenance dose 5 mg/kg body weight daily
For example, Initial dose : Children of 6 years 
approx. 20 kg 2 x 1 coated tablet daily Children of 12 years approx. 40kg): 4 a 1 coated tablet daily
Maintenance dose
Children of 6 years : 1 coated tablet daily
Children of 12 years : 2 x 1 coated tablet daily 
Children younger than 6 years should not receive Octomotol In the course of treatment, individual and daily doses may be reduced according to the clinical picture.
For preventing swellings and pain after surgical interventions or radiotherapy and before the application of plaster splints etc., treatment should be started 1 to 2 days before the intervention. 
Caution - During long-term treatment with Octomotol, the blood picture must be controlled regularly.
- Undesirable events may be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest
possible duration necessary to control symptoms.

Do not Store above 30°C. Keep dry.
