Active Ingredients per 5 ml of Syrup:
- Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): To relieve pain and reduce fever.
- Pseudoephedrine HCl: To clear nasal and sinus congestion.
- Diphenhydramine HCl: An antihistamine to control runny nose, sneezing, and dry cough. It also causes drowsiness.
Indications
For the symptomatic relief of cold and flu, including:
- Fever, headache, and mild to moderate pain.
- Nasal congestion and sinus pressure.
- Runny nose, sneezing, and dry cough.
Dosage
Important: Always use the measuring device provided. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
- Children 6–12 years: 5 mL every 6 to 8 hours as needed.
- Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mL every 6 to 8 hours as needed.
- Not recommended for children under 6 years old unless specifically directed by a physician.
Warnings and Precautions
- May Cause Drowsiness: Due to Diphenhydramine, this syrup can cause significant drowsiness. Avoid activities requiring mental alertness after taking it.
- Paracetamol Overdose Risk: Contains Paracetamol. Carefully check the labels of all other medications to avoid taking multiple Paracetamol-containing products, which can lead to severe liver damage.
- Medical Conditions: Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular conditions, liver disease, glaucoma, or an enlarged prostate.
- MAOI Interaction: Do not use with or within 14 days of stopping a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI).
Key Patient Advice
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Due to the sedative effect, this syrup can be particularly helpful for nighttime symptom relief.
- Do not use this medication for the sole purpose of making a child sleepy.
- If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, consult your doctor.
- Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct light and out of the reach of children.
