ABC Mocotive Topical Spray

ABC Mocotive Topical Spray (70 mL) is a broad‑spectrum antiseptic spray formulated for skin disinfection and soothing post‑procedural care, leveraging high‑strength ethyl alcohol alongside botanical extracts to prevent infection and calm irritation . Its key actives—Ethyl Alcohol 70 %, Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E, Chamomile Extract, Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate, and Glycerin—work synergistically to cleanse, moisturize, and provide mild astringent and anti‑inflammatory effects . Typically retailed in Egypt for EGP 30–64 per 70 mL bottle, it’s applied 3–4 times daily to intact skin and is produced/distributed by Egystar Pharm under the ABC brand .

Active Ingredients

Ethyl Alcohol 70 %: Primary antiseptic that denatures microbial proteins to prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and abrasions .

Tea Tree Oil: Offers additional antimicrobial and anti‑inflammatory benefits but can cause local irritation in sensitive individuals .

Vitamin E: Acts as an antioxidant to support skin barrier repair and reduce oxidative stress.

Chamomile Extract: Provides soothing and anti‑inflammatory action; may rarely trigger contact dermatitis in allergic users .

Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate: Astringent that helps reduce excessive moisture.

Glycerin: Humectant that attracts and retains moisture for hydration.

Indications & Benefits

ABC Mocotive is indicated for:

Antiseptic Cleansing of minor skin injuries to prevent microbial colonization and spread of infection .

Post‑procedural Skin Care, such as after injections, minor dermatologic procedures, or insect bites.

Soothing & Astringent Relief, supporting skin recovery by reducing redness, dryness, and mild swelling.

Dosage & Administration

Shake well before use. Spray lightly over the clean, intact skin area 3–4 times daily, allowing it to air‑dry; avoid scrubbing or wiping off the product immediately after application . Use only on unbroken skin—do not apply to deep or puncture wounds.

Side Effects & Precautions

Local Irritation: Dryness, stinging, or burning sensation due to high alcohol content .

Allergic Contact Dermatitis: Possible from Tea Tree Oil (itching, redness) or Chamomile Extract (rash, swelling) .

Flammability: Contains ethanol; keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and smoking materials.

Avoid Sensitive Areas: Do not spray near eyes, mucous membranes, or on eczematous/ulcerated skin.
