PROPERTIES:
Farcocin cream and Farcocin ointment (gentamidn) are highly effective tornrulationn ton tnpicat treatment of primary and secondary akin infections caaaed by gentamicin-aevadiva pathogenic bacteria. Farcocin ia bactericidal againat most strains of staphylococci (including penicillin-resistant strairrs), some strains of streptococci and the Gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomunas aenigiooaa (inuansitive to many antibiotics) Eschedchia ccli and ldeboiella, Proteus Enterobactar, Cit robacter and Serratia epecies. Gentamicin ( an amisoglycuside antibiotic ) binds irreversibly to the 30 5 dbssornai oijbunds causing inhiblion of bacterial protein synthanis and induceu misraading of the genetic cede with eventual bacterial cell death. Farcscln is turrnulated in cream sad ointment trains to suit the different ccrrdtiissu of infected skin. The cream satis hairy and intertriginuus mean and in recommended for wet oozing and greasy infected shin while the ointmant is preterable for infections of dry eczematvss m psudatic ohm.
INDICATIONS:
Shin istecbons caused by gentamicin-suscaptible bacteria including:
- Primary aids intectians:
lmpehgs ccstagioea, taranculoala, ecthyma, ouperticial tolliculitis, oycosio buthaa and pyodanna gangrenosum.
- Secondary aids mt actions:
Infested wounds and aids ulcers, infected supertidal bums, intectisso eczematoid dermatitis, infected aeburthaic and contact dansaaas, pustutar acne, puatslm psodania, intected hiuect btias and stings. paronyciria and bacterial anparistection of tsngul or viral aids infections.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to gentamicin.
PRECAUTIONS:
Farcacin cream or Fucacln ahtnent is not for ophthalmic use.
StDE EFFECTS:
Mild local irritation) erythama and prsritas (might rarely occur.
MODE OF USE: A thin tim of Farcocin cream or Farcoctn ointment is applied to cover completely the affected skis area. Application is repeated 3 to 4 times daily. The treated area may be covered with a gauze thmed seeded. PACKING:
A tube containing 20 g of Fercocis cream or Farcocin ointment
