Larogen

Adverse effects:
-Headache, tiredness, rash, nausea, dizziness, diplopia, blurred vision, insomnia and coordination abnormalities.
-weight decrease, chest pain, dysmenorrhea and anxiety are infrequent side effects.
Dosage:
Adult more than 12 years of age:
Larogen added to an AED regimen containing
valproate in patients over 12 years of age:

Usual maintenance dose in patients adding larogen to valproate ranges from 100-200 mg/day.
Larogen added to EIADs (except valproate) in patients over 12 years of age:

Usual maintenance dose is 300 -500 mg/day (in 2 divided doses). To achieve maintenance, dose may be increased by 100 mg/day every 1-2 weeks.
The recommended maintenance dose of Larogen as monotherapy is 100-200 mg/day some patients may require 500 mg/day given in two divided doses.

Children 2-12 years of age:
Larogen added to an AED regimen containing vaiproate in patients 2-12 years of age:
Weeks 1 & 2 0.15 mg/kg/day in one or I

0.3 mg/kg/day in I
Weeks 3 & 4 one or two divided doses.
Usual maintenance dose: 1 to 5 / mg / day (maximum 200 mg/ day), in one or two divided doses.
Larogen added to EIADs (except valproate) in patients 2-12 years of age:
0.6 mg/kg/day in I
Weeks 1 & 2 two divided doses. I
Weeks3&4 1.2mcg/thyin
__________________ two divided doses.
Usual maintenance dose: 5-15 mg/kg/day (maximum 400 mg/day in two divided doses). N.B.
• doses in children should be rounded to the nearest whole tablet.
• To achieve the usual maintainence dose, subsequent doses should be increased every 1 to 2 weeks.
Storage:
Stored below 30 degree at a dry place.
Package:
Carton box contains 3 strips each of 10 tablets.
