Mucosin(Ambroxol Hydrochloride & Guaiphenesin) Syrup
A44EI COMPOSITION
Each teaspooful (5 ml) contains
Ambroxol Hydrochloride 15 mg
Guaiphenesin 100 mg
PROPERTIES
Mucosin Syrup has a quick mucolytic and expectorant action in acute and chronic disorders of the respiratory tract, through the confirmed active ingredients Ambroxol & Guaiphenesin.
Guaiphenesin is reported to reduce the viscosity of tenacious sputum and Is used as an expectorant. Disorders of mucous secretions in the respiratory tract are nor.malI, restored.
Therefore Mucosin Syrup facilitate the drainage of Mucous secretions and cofisequently ameliorates respiration. The protective physiological film of the Mucous membrane in the respiratory tract is improved functionally.
INDICATIONS
Acute and chronic respiratory disorders associated with producUon of viscous mucous such as: Acute and chronic bronchitis, Asthmatic bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, lnflarnmations of the naso-pharyngeal cavity
CONTRA INDICATIONS: * Known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or Guaiphenesin
* Although in animal studies (even in higher dosage) no evidence of embryonic damage could be established, Mucosin is not recommended in the first three Mouths of pregnancy.
PRECAUTIONS: Care should be taken in patients with a history of peptic ulcer.
SIDE EFFECTS Gastro-intestinal side-effects may occur in rare cases: stomach pains, headache, dizziness, sweating and skin rashes may occur occasionally.
DOSAGE: U Adults : 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 3 times daily

U ChIldren (over 5 years): 5 ml (One teaspoonful) 3 times daily
U Infants (up to 2 years) : 2.5 ml (112 teaspoonful) twice daily
