Larogen (Rest of pamphlet) Larogen Adverse effects: -Headache, tiredness, rash, nausea, dizziness, diplopia, blurred vision, insomnia and coordination abnormalities. -weight decrease, chest pain, dysmenorrhea and anxiety are infrequent side effects. Dosage: Adult more than 12 years of age: Larogen added to an AED regimen containing valproate in patients over 12 years of age: Usual maintenance dose in patients adding larogen to valproate ranges from 100-200 mg/day. Larogen added to EIADs (except valproate) in patients over 12 years of age: Usual maintenance dose is 300 -500 mg/day (in 2 divided doses). To achieve maintenance, dose may be increased by 100 mg/day every 1-2 weeks. The recommended maintenance dose of Larogen as monotherapy is 100-200 mg/day some patients may require 500 mg/day given in two divided doses. effox (Rest Of Pamphlet) effox alcohol may potentiate the hypotensive effect of effox. This might also occur with neuroleptics and tricydic antidepressants. A blood pressure lowering effect of effox will be increased, if used together with phosphodiesterase inhibitors (e.g. sildenafil) which is used for erectile dysfunction (see special warnings and contra-indications). This might lead to life-threatening cardiovascular complications. Patients who are on effox therapy therefore must not use phosphodiesterase inhibitors (e.g. sildenafil) Reports suggest, that, when administered concomitantly, effox may increase the blood level of dihydroergotamine and its hypertensive effect. Effox may affect the patient’s reactivity to an extent that her/his ability to drive or to operate machines is impaired. This effect is increased in combination with alcohol. Calmepam PRECAUTIONS:       Calmepam  In patients with chronic pulmonary insufficiency and in patients with chronic renal or hepatic disease, dosage may need to be reduced.  Calmepam should not be used alone to treat depression and anxiety associated with depression, since suicide may be precipitated in such patients.  Amnesia may occur. If Calmepam is combined with centrally-acting drugs such as neuroleptics, tranquilisers, antidepressants, hypnotics, analgesics and anaesthetics, the sedative effects are likely to be intensified. The elderly require special supervision.  Patients should be advised that, like all medicaments of this type, Calmepam may modify patients, performance at skilled tasks (driving, operating machiner etc) to a varying degree depending upon dosage, administration and individual susceptibility.
